Al centro del filone marocchino della scandalo che ha travolto il parlamento europeo, la questione del Sahara occidentale. Rabat ha puntato a corrompere parlamentari e funzionari per aggirare la sentenza della Corte di Giustizia Ue che salvaguardava il diritto ai profitti dei Saharawi per le risorse del loro territorio.
